Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
Today’s top ten is quite hard as I have mentioned an awful lot of books on my bog over the years. Here are some which I may have missed. I’m not sure why I haven’t written about them. They are all brilliant books.
- Cat’s Eye – Margaret Atwood
- Exquisite Corpse – Poppy Z. Brite
- In Cold Blood – Truman Capote
- The Chocolate War – Robert Cormier
- The Kite Runner – Khaled Hosseini
- How Late it was How Late – James Kelman
- It – Stephen King
- Spider – Patrick McGrath
- The Things They Carried – Tim O’Brien
- The Picture of Dorian Gray – Oscar Wilde
I don’t mention a lot of classics on my blog, but I love Oscar Wilde’s writing so much. The Importance of Being Earnest is one of my favorite plys.
I’m not a huge fan of the classics either although I really like The Picture of Dorian Gray. The plays are brilliant as well.
I always find it hard to write about classic/popular books. It just feels like everything that can be said about them has already been said and I don’t really have anything to add to the conversation, you know?
Happy TTT!
